Happy birthday hubby!!

It was my husband's birthday last week & while he doesn't like much fuss around him, we still wanted to acknowledge the occasion, of course.

I struggle coming up with a new layout occasionally, so I chose to use one from a previous card I'd made. This card was cased from Brian King, if I remember correctly.

Before we found each other, Brett enjoyed scuba-diving, therefore lots of time was spent on boats to go to the various diving positions in the ocean.

This is why I chose to use the Sailing Home & I 'reckon' it works well!! I tipped the layout onto a landscape card instead & just quietly, I love it!!

I made this card during a Live Video on my JoWeedonMelbourne facebook page, so if you would like to see that, it is here.

Ive used Night of Navy & Balmy Blue cardstock & dont you just love the effect of the crackle Paint stamp with the Balmy Blue ink on the same coloured cardstock?

And can you see a small area of the Waterfront stamp set being used behind the lighthouse, too?

Inside, I chose to keep it simple, with a small sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays & the crisp image o the anchor finished this card off perfectly!!

Im so glad I didnt spend hours trying to come up a new layout, colours & stamp sets, when I can simply change a couple of things from a previous card & have something completely different!!

Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you wish, I do love reading them!!

Jo.

Spreading More Love...To Me!!

I have 3 more cards to share with you & I promise the next post will be my creations!!

I am just loving receiving a card in the mail, there is something intimate about a card being made & sent to a particular person...

Wendy & I have known each other for many years, met through SU! & share such a wonderful sense of humour!! I value that I can ask any question, lean on her & chat anytime & she is there for me. I only hope that I reflect our friendship equally at her times of need...

She is another demo that I cant wait to squeeze in November, at Su!'s OnStage event!!

Di sent this card to me & the lift her words gave me, carried me for days! (All of these cards are still on display, to make me smile!!) She has used one of the Occasions Kits and the sentiment is from Waterfront. How cheery is it!!
Gail sent this card to me during a rough time recently, the juggle of a family, a car accident and life, so it was truly a beautiful thing to receive!!

She made this using the Butterfly Wishes set with Highland Heather, (now able to be purchased) & Grey Granite ink, matching cardstock & riboon.

These cards are all stunning & if I could truly tell the senders how much their card meant to me, it would be a much longer post!

Love, In The Shape of a Card!

As mentioned in my last post, I have received a few cards from fellow demonstrators lately & am loving that I can share them with you.

World Card Making Day was a couple of weeks ago & my mates were busy indeed!!

Have a look at their creations!

Jenny & I have known each other for many years & cross paths at various SU! events, so to receive a card from her is pretty special!

Her message of support may have made me smile & tear up all at the same time!!

Here, Jenny has used the stamp set, Charming Cafe with Berry Burst with matching ribbon & markers with Softly Falling embossing folder (R).

How bright & cheery is it?
Using Crafting Forever, Sue fussy cut the scissors image & popped it onto Dimensionals, so that it matched the sentiment. It is just perfect with Follow Your Art DSP, isnt it!!

I look forward to finding her among 600 other fellow demos when we attend OnStage 2019 in Sydney in November!

Mel caught me on an emotionally flat day, so this ray of sunshine absolutely turned me around!! He message was beautiful...

She has used Everything Amazing, a stamp set that didn't do anything for me, but now it does!!

Sometimes you have to set it in 'real life', as they say, to appreciate it, hey?

Thanks for staying close to see these cards, Im so happy to have shared them with you!!

Happy stamping! Jo.

Happy & Unexpected Mail!!

Isn't this just the best kind - happy and unexpected mail??

A hand written envelope & certainly not one with a window, just makes me smile before Ive even opened it!!

And the whole world, (well my world), stops while I undo the seal of the envelope and....pull out the creation!!

That was made just for me!! Yippee!!
Alison, a fellow demonstrator used a retired kit to make this card on World Card Making Day!!

And while it looks resonably simple, it has stamped images, stickers, multiple layers & a touch of bling - Just a perfect smile to send through the post!!

This card is another example of Alison's work - she has been busy thinking of me, hasnt she? LOL!!

I was lucky enough to see a post on a Facebook goup asking for a family that would love to experience a live show. I commented, mentioning Alison's family of her husband and two boys & they won the tickets & got to go backstage to see the props etc!!

So Alison sent this to me to say thanks!

Using the gigham  DSP & pairing with matching butterfly stamps, it just screams happiness, doesnt it!!

Be sure to check out Alison's page to see more beautiful work, made with love.

Ive still got 5 other cards to show you, so come back on Wednesday to see what they are - you wont be disappointed!

Happy stampin', Jo

Looking Trim!!

Wahoooo!! Our new SU! trimmer has arrived - well to current demonstrators who wish to purchase it!!

It's so slick & precise with its cutting - you will love it!!
It has a deeper blade and of course, the paper scorer, to make folding cardstock for boxes easier.
The only way to purchase one of these Trimmers, is to be a current Demonstrator...sooooo if you do wish to buy one, it can be apart of your Starter Kit - ask me how to become a SU! demonstrator now.
Otherwise I will let you know when you can purchase your own trimmer!!

Suite, Christmas Time Is Here!!

Don't you love a play on words, hey?

This suite is simply stunning! It's called Christmas Time Is Here & it evokes such beautiful memories of when I was younger...

Christmas Rose as a stamp set is beautiful in itself, but when you team it with the rest of the suite, it is drool worthy!
This suite or anything in it, as a separate item is available for current demonstrators now or if you are a customer, you can purchase it from November 1, via my On-Line Page, just follow the link :)

Thanks for dropping past... Jo x

Surprise!!

It was so lovely to receive this card last week, from Kathryn and 'just because', as the card says!!

I just had to ask Kathryn how she made this and her answer was: by sponging the rainbow effect, using SU! daubers - How simple, right!!

Lovely As a Tree gives the great tree images & a stamp set like Waterfront would be perfect for the hilly images.

The simplicity of the one layered card that is actually quite busy, intrigues me!!

Using a white gel pen, Kathryn marked the cardstock slightly so that twinkling stars are in the Northern Light display!!

If this technique makes you want to create, contact me through my Business Page, or email me at jo.weedon@gmail.com.

Just beautiful!! Thanks so much Kathryn!!

Stamps:  Lovely As a Tree, Waterfront

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Granny Green Apple, Momento Black

Ink: Mlon Mambo, Granny Green Apple, Crushed Curry, Marina Mist, Night of Navy

Accessories:  White Gel Pen, Tear n Tape adhesive, Stampin' blocks, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun.
