Moving Silhouette Scenes

I saw this stamp set in the new catalogue & hadn't decided if I liked it or not...so I bought it!!

And today saw me participating in a challenge with Just Add Ink #462 & this stamp set needed to be used!
I could imagine the girl on the swing, moving over that blank square... So using that as my first idea, I worked with Leave a Little Sparkle stamp set, (the word: believe) & the Woodland Embossing Folder also.

And it came together!!

So here is my entry for JAI #462. I'm a bit chuffed, I is!!

And for those of you who may be interested to know, I did my very first Live Video from my facebook page tonight!!

It shows you the products that I used for this card. So much excitement for the day, I tell ya!!

So much excitement for the day, I tell ya!!

Thanks again for reading my posts and all the support, I am so happy to be here sharing this with you, Jo x

Stampin' Up! badge of Honour.

I've been harping on about my 10 year birthday as a SU! demo, I know...

But today I received the offical badge of honour to prove it!! :)

It's just so shining & perfect!! It's funny how proud you can be when your time has been acknowledged - even if it is while you're at home, in your dressing gown!!
I'll be adding this to my apron that I wear proudly at all markets, classes and the like from now on...

Thanks for sharing my excitement, I look forward to the next amount of years, the friendships and fun that it will bring!!

Happy Stampin', Jo

It's Still My Birthday!!

Happy birthday celebrations continue for me!!

I was lucky enough to receive these two cards, during the week, so even though it is almost 3 weeks after my 10th SU! birthday, Im still receiving cards!!

Im happy with that!! LOL!!

This first card is from Mandy, a fellow demo in Sydney. We became strong friends recently when we attended a SU! event & have chatted since.

Mandy has used the gorgeous Beauty Abounds stamp set, markers and a touch of Wink of Stella, (this adds so much sparkle to a project!!) Ive always loved green & purple together, so the matching of Granny Apple Green with Highland Heather is just perfect, to me!!

This next card is from Kelly, who I met again in November, at OnStage last year!! Her smile is infectious and her work is always stunning!

Using the Mosaic Mood Specialty paper, Kelly simple used the matching dies to cut out the image from another sheet of DSP, propping it up on Dimensionals!! And using the Stitched Nested Labels to create the tag, coming down from the top of the page, is a great additiion!!

The sheen on this Specialty paper is just stunning - you dont need to add much more, it speaks for itself!! The embossing on the paper is beautiful.

So thankyou Mandy and Kelly, your cards and thoughtfulness put a smile on my face for days!!

I'm very grateful for all the support, love, laughs & creativity I receive from you both,

Jo x

Feeling The Love!!

Last week I mentioned that it was my 10th birthday as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator...

I've had such a great reaching out of friendships from those who have traveled any part of those 10 years with me, it truly was a great week.

I was lucky enough to receive a couple of cards in the mail, along with many messages of support via text or messenger, so I certainly felt the love!!

The first card I received was from Alison, who I spent the day with a few weeks ago... We have been friends for a long time now and are always a great support to each other, about SU! and all things in life, really!
She used the now retired Broadway Bound DSP to make a double opening card - probably the wrong name for it, but I love it either way!!

The SU side of the card than also opens to her gorgeous message to me. Just beautiful!

The other card that I received is from Ellen, who has a stunning smile and wicked sense of humour to match!! She has used the new stamp set, Crafting Forever with the Lovely Lipstick cardstock.

How fun and bright is her card - these women know how much I love the Bright family

I just love the friendships that I have made throught SU!, they are life long!!

I thought I would also show you the second of the 2 cards that I made to say thankyou to my fellow friends & demos of SU! This was to thank them for their support during the last 10 years of my time with them.

Here I have used the Love What You Do stamp set, the Brayering technique, with the Stitched Nested Label Dies, (what a mouthful, lol). I made 20 of these to send out & I am still amazed that I didnt get bored with making so many of the same things - maybe because I knew how important they were to me?

Well, I'm off now, to catch some sleep before I travel to the other side of town tomorrow with my youngest, Darcy. He will be refereeing all day for a  basketball tournament while I catch up with a special friend - I may even have something to share with you, if we get to create, fingers crossed!!

Happy stamping x

Cooooeeee - Creativity Is Calling!!

Gosh, Im loving these Blog Hops!! I think I need to commit to more, 'cos it gets me thinking & creating, of course!!

And I get to share the items with you, how is that not a win-win!!

You've just come from Libby's blog & she will not have disappointed you with her work, I always love what she has created!!

So apart of this Blog Hop is to create items that use the new items from the 2019-2020 catalogue, going live in just 1 more sleep!! Wahoooo, hey!!

To show off some of the new products, I've used the Come Sailing Away DSP with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

I've allowed the various designs of the paper to speak for themselves!! I don't usually use so many options of the DSP at once, often i simply use one side, maybe 2, so this is a big deal for me!! :)

The compass image uses a 1.5" circle punch & the 1 3/4" circle punch for the Night of Navy cardstock behind it. The dies for the arrow simply adds dimension to such a image, right?

Yesterday, amongst trying to prepare for the Blog Hop and life, it was our youngest's 15th birthday. Darcy has always loved basketball & is now a B grade referee for various games throughout the week, so of course, the card HAD to be basketball related!

And while this Sea of Textures stamp set isn't new, I think I had discovered a new use for it, so I'm showcasing it... I've stamped the net image in Night of Navy, free-handed the edging of the net & attached the top of the ring with Night of Navy also.

To give the card a bit of dimension, I folded a short piece of acetate on itself, glue dotted it & stuck this to the basketball - I remember doing this in art in Primary School, haha!!

The third project I have to share with you, is a card that I sent out to a few fellow demonstrators and/or my support crew over the past 10 years as a Demo. I am so very blessed to have had many women who have supported me in so many ways.

This card uses the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, one that will be a popular item, I believe & I have cased it almost completely, from the catalogue itself!!

The annual catalogue is such a great resource for ideas and techniques!!

I made 20 of these & 20 of another design that I will share with you in my next post.

The inside needed something special also, so I added a simple image of the budding magnolia, here.

Thanks for stopping by to see my projects, I truly enjoyed making them for you!!
