Let's Go Tropical!

Good arvo, (from chilly Melbourne, Australia), I hope you are well & ready to stamp!!

This weeks blog hop theme for Kelly's blog party is New (Normal), as in our world has a new normal now... I took this as being literal & have used a new stamp set! This stamp set isn't one that I would usually use, but seeing as we are at home lately & I won it, (while at a SU! event?), I thought I should have a play with it, of course!

I have this card to show you, using the Timeless Tropical stamp set. I also have a confession - Ive never used this stamp set, it just didnt do anything for me, but I am falling in love with it, now that I'm actually using it!! (Inspired by Susan Wong)

I find it incredible how when changing the sentiment, it can change the way the card looks!!

Ive used the Timeless Tropical stamp set, as mentioned earlier, gold embossing powder, Stitched Nested Labels dies & fussy cut the flower & leaf.

It's such a cheery card, don't you think? You can order these items and more here & have it sent directly to your home - how convenient, right? That way you can work on your own New (Normal) projects too!

Weddings Are Wonderful!!

On Monday, Brett & I were guests at long time family friends' son's wedding.

Gosh it was beautiful!! It was held in a large warehouse that caters for many functions.

They met 8 years ago & we have seen their love grow throughout their years together.

So this called for a special Wedding card, of course.

I teamed Beauty Abounds with Painted Glass, all Copper Embossed & used the Cross Of Hope dies.

I just love how a single layered card can still 'pop!!"

Here they are, almost married!!

Just beautiful! We are so grateful to have been at their wedding and we wish them all the happiness throughout their lives...

A Sympathy Perennial Essence.

I recently ran a poll on my  Facebook page, to ask which card they wanted to see me create while doing a Live Video. The choices were a sympathy card, an 18th or a general 'Hello' card.

Well, the punters decided that I create a Sympathy card.

Perhaps because it is one of the hardest cards to make?

I made this card using the newly released Perennial Essence DSP & I allowed the gorgeous paper to do most of the work.

Is it just stunning!!

I used the Morning Magnolia stamp set, Stitched Nested Dies with Powder Pink cardstock & ink, to create the sentiment.

When I stamped the sentiment, I pressed the stamp into Versamark ink first, then directly into the Powder Pink ink. I then shook Clear Embossing Powder over it & used the Heat Gun to heat it.

It made the sentiment pop just a little bit!
