Cards for Angel Gowns, Victoria

I recently heard about Angel Gowns, Australia, who donate their time to make incredible gowns for babies that either do not survive pregnancy, birth or pass away soon after birth.

They rely on donations of all materials, ribbons & embellishments to make these tiny gowns, often for sizes 0000 & smaller.

This is such a beautiful gesture, at such a sad and traumatic time for families. To have one decision already thought-out for them, of what to dress their baby in, would bring some comfort to Mum and Dad during this painful time.

Here is an example of their work:

While speaking to a friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator,  Debbie about Angel Gowns, I decided to spend some time making cards for their use. They could choose to send these cards as a thankyou to brides who donated their wedding dress or businesses that have donated various items for this special cause.

With this in mind, this is my first group of cards that I made & sent. Vicki has received my cards & Im very happy to say she likes them!

I made 4 cards each of Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon & Blushing Bride, (appropriate, right??)

I'm sorry this is a bad photo, but I was rushing to send this off & remembered to take a photo of the other two designs that I sent, (in the Post Office, lol!!)...with a small note to Vicky, of course.

Im off now, to plan for my next group of cards to begin on, thanks for stopping by :)

It's Been Too Too Long...

I'm surprised (& slightly embarrassed) as to how long it has been since I last posted. I had become to feel dejected & clearly decided to stop posting anything, rather than simply cutting back a little & learning from the experience.

I received an email today, from Lisa letting me know that she CASE-d, (Copy And Share Everything) my minion card, (seen on Pinterest) and this has given me a huge smile for the whole day! I would like to openly thank Lisa for her email, it was the lift I needed!!

While I am here, I'd also like to thank my Upline,  Mel for her unwavering friendship & support when I am wallowing in the doldrums...

So with that being said, I am going to continue to post cards, 3D items, scrap pages & life events!!

I look forward to reading your feedback about what you like, suggestions you have of what I can make & showing how amazing the Stampin' Up products are!!

Here is a simple thankyou card, an appropriate one I thought, given this post.

It uses the From The Herd stamp set, from the current Occasions Catalogue & is just too cute, isnt it!!

Thanks for stopping by, I will see you next time :)
